This is the Canadian army, and the infamous changing of the guards at La Citadelle de Quebec.
Afterwards, I dragged Sean on a historical tour of the royal regiment, and learned about their rich history.
We both promised to only sit through 20 minutes, but we ended up enjoying the whole thing!
Next, it was time to take a thousand photos of the worlds most photographed hotel - La Chateau Frontenac:

Oooh, ahhhhhhh!
And then a walk on the boardwalk along the Saint Lawrence river:

Sean and I frollicked on the plains of Abraham in battlefield park, and practiced for the gymnastics portion of the olympics on the rolling hills.
Then I remembered a story about characters dressed up in charming French colonial garments down below by the water, and set on foot to find them. After Sean pleaded with me not to go, it was the sound of a flute that distracted me and set me into blood hound mode.

768 steps down to the bottom of the hill - might I suggest taking a tram...
After finding nothing but noisy road traffic and seaport shipping, I was clearly wrong and reminded of my inability to think things through.
After an additional hour of walking we did find some shopping, co-ed bathrooms, and yes even those dressed up fellas, but at that point our feet didn't find the worth. I never did find the source of that inviting melody...
Merci Quebec! Were outta here!
And before dark we crossed the border into Maine:

Ooh, but you can't cross the border without visiting duty free!
Here's my new traveling buddy Bradley the buck tooted beaver!

And they didn't even ask for his passport! Sly little fella. Haha, eh.
Upon entering Maine, we were warned about the 201 and the abundance of moose that cross the small route. We saw signs and lights also reiterating the hazard. However, we only spotted turkey buzzards picking away at one unfortunate :(
Sunset in Maine:

We even made it to Acadia national park! Here I am romanticising myself on the beach of the Atlantic while sleepy Sean waits in the car:

Ok ok, to bed!
