They found no threat and let us cross. First things first, we sat next to horseshoe falls for a bit and even in the night we could see it's fury (well the lights help)
Before we crossed we arranged for a campground, and they sent us to overflow, which was in the middle of a baseball field/playground. Here it is in the morn:

That night sean sweat out the remainder of his flu as well as 12 liters of gatorade. We almost drowned in that mixture of sweat and sports drink.
Niagra falls was the biggest tourist production we've seen yet on this trip by far. It was tremendous to see how this remarkable force of nature was marginalized by the surrounding carnival.
We saw a terrible IMAX movie then saw the daredevil exibit where we saw some cool unconventional watercrafts.

Because there's just not enough photos of it out there in the world, here's both falls seen together from atop a ferris wheel:

And here is a view without the use of a ferris wheel:

But I have to be honest, seeing this thing was just about the best part of niagra

One day you will be mine..
Shortly after leaving the place with that cool bus, we pulled into Toronto.

We found a neat arts district where we milled about, scoping some of the local talent, and eventually ending up at a pub where after a couple of drinks we felt inspired to make some art of our own.

About 200km outside the city we rolled into our camp and erected our domecile in the dark. It was only after 1 or 2 hours of sleep we became aware of the train tracks 75m from us, choo choooo, wheeeeee!!

When we went to Niagra Falls in March, we were the ONLY ones around for miles! And the falls were frozen!
ReplyDeleteThough the bus with the excessive amount of windows is orange, I feel compelled to name it Big Blue if you ever take ownership of it. And I like that you've already taken to using the metric measuring system. :) How 'boot that, eh?
